About This Role
The Department of Clinical Sciences, Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks qualified candidates for a Clinical Track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in Small Animal Dentistry at the Veterinary Health Center. The dentistry service provides general and advanced dental care for small animals. Service goals include teaching students and assisting in the development of their entry-level skills in dentistry while providing general and specialized oral care for our clients. Other responsibilities include occasional wet labs and outreach activities within the community or in regional communities to support the mission of the Veterinary Health Center. The successful candidate will join a dentistry service with one clinician and a nurse.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree. Preference will be given to candidates with AVDC board certification, additional training in dentistry, multiple years of clinical experience, internship training, or ABVP certification.

Tenure Track Community Practice Veterinarian

The Department of Companion Animals at the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, invites applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Companion Animals Community Practice. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate professor level.

The successful applicant will join a Community Practice program supported by three full-time veterinarians along with 2full-time and 1 part-time veterinary technicians. Job duties and responsibilities include teaching in the undergraduate and graduate DVM program, providing primary care services to companion animals in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, performing scholarly activities including primary research and providing service to the University. Teaching duties will involve primary coordination of the Professional Foundations stream of the veterinary curriculum, including organization and coordination of instructors, delivery of content and student assessment. Other teaching duties will include didactic, laboratory and clinical teaching of the community practice curriculum.

The successful candidate will:
• Have earned a DVM (or equivalent) degree
• Be strongly motivated to teach
• Have a track-record of excellent clinical services in routine companion animal primary care, including surgical procedures and dentistry
• Have well-developed skills of collaboration, relationship-building and communication
• Be eligible for licensure with the Prince Edward Island Veterinary Medical Association.
• Be a life-long learner eager to maintain skills and knowledge updated to contemporary standards in companion animals medicine and veterinary education
• Have academic credentials outlined in the UPEI Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1 Collective Agreement for tenure, or a strong potential to obtain these within 4 years of the appointment. Credentials may consist of an earned doctorate in a relevant field, professional qualifications such as board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, or equivalent experience.
