Fellowships
Canine & Feline Orthopedics Fellowship
Fellowship training typically occurs after coming an ABVP® Diplomate. Fellow titles cannot be conferred until DABVP status is obtained.
Why was the CFO Fellowship created?
The advanced training in this Fellowship is important for several reasons:
- Canine and feline orthopedic surgery is a technically demanding skillset that most veterinarians are not proficient in. ABVP® Canine/Feline and Feline Diplomates, given their species-oriented specialization, have demonstrated expertise in a number of areas.
- CFO training will provide ABVP® Diplomates with the educational and technical skills to better handle numerous orthopedic conditions in terms of diagnosis, therapy, and post-therapy rehabilitation.
