ABVP (Avian, Exotic Mammal, Reptile/Amphibian) and/or ACZM board certification preferred but not mandatory. However at least 2 years of clinical experience in exotic pet or zoo practice is necessary.
Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services (SEAVS) provides leading edge medical and surgical services for exotic pets, including birds, small exotic mammals, reptiles, and amphibians in the greater Washington D.C. area.
The clinical director Dr. Scott Stahl is board certified by the ABVP in avian practice and has been practicing avian and exotic animal medicine in Northern Virginia since 1989. SEAVS has been established since 2003 and is a full-service specialty practice that also functions as a training center for veterinarians. An ABVP-Avian residency is in place along with veterinary internship(s). Additionally, veterinary externs are rotating through the practice from all over the world. Teaching and mentoring these colleagues will be one of the responsibilities of this position along with seeing clinical cases.
SEAVS currently employs 8 certified veterinary technicians to support doctors and the practice is fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasonography, video endoscopy, computed tomography, radiosurgery and laser therapy.

Experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon Required
Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre is located in the epicentre of Sport Horse and Thoroughbred performance and breeding in New Zealand. Skills in lameness diagnosis and management combined with excellent client communication are pre-requisites for this position. The caseload would be a mixture of clinic-based investigations and ambulatory work. Previous experience either working or riding in the sport horse competition environment in the Uk , Europe or the States or in track practice would be beneficial. We appreciate that applicants are unlikely to have extensive experience in both fields. Above all, an enthusiasm and passion for the horse and what our owners, riders and trainers are trying to achieve is essential. You will be providing a support role for senior veterinarians and will be encouraged to establish and build your own client base. We have established an atmosphere of collegiality and support within the practice and having the ability to work as a team member is an important attribute to bring.
The practice is a modern, purpose built, bespoke diagnostic facility, well equipped with the usual digital imaging modalities, nuclear scintigraphy, video and dynamic endoscopy. It supported with a boarded surgeon and a modern well-equipped theatre.

3+ years post DVM/VMD experience in clinical practice, academia, research, military or industry including at least 2 or more years of small animal general clinical practice
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong relationship building skills.
Ability to travel (intraweek and occasional weekend travel required)

Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian, Clinical Lecturer; Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor
The Department of Clinical Sciences in the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants to fill two full-time, non-tenured, 12-month appointments as Small Animal Emergency Veterinarians at Auburn Veterinary Specialists in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This new referral center will provide internal medicine and surgical care for small animals, and will later expand to include emergency services. The referral center will participate in the educational mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine, providing focused clinical instruction to senior veterinary students, interns and residents and continuing education programs for veterinarians. Primary care will not be offered at the referral center.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have demonstrated an interest in emergency medicine and surgery and in advanced patient care. Initially, clinical responsibilities will include after-hours care and management of hospitalized animals. Responsibilities will expand to include the management of emergency cases once the service is opened. Members of the veterinary faculty must contribute to a team environment, engage productively with referring veterinarians, and collaborate with colleagues on the main Auburn University campus. The faculty member will provide exceptional patient care while simultaneously providing clinical instruction for veterinary students. An after-hours rotating working schedule of Monday night through Thursday night and Friday night through the weekend and including Sunday night is anticipated.
