
1. Office - Adequate size to complete data analysis.
2. Equipment - Access to a computer equipped with a modem and of sufficient capacity to run up-to-date swine management and diagnostic programs.
3. Environmental monitoring equipment should be available.
4. Ambulatory equipment must be available to provide good on-the-farm management of individual animals and herd problems.
5. Ancillary staff must be adequate for the caseload.
6. Laboratory - The institution or practice must have the A system of record keeping must be in place to ensure adequate documentation and rapid retrieval of information about any animal or herd. Records must support population based analysis and medicine.
The institution or practice must have access to a minimum of 10 swine herds of varying sizes for full or part-time service. Records from additional herds must be available by consultation with other practicing veterinarians.
